Last night I decided to try a fun recipe I found on Pinterest-- Cake Batter Truffles! There is no baking involved! The recipe can be found HERE!
I was too lazy to get the big mixer out, so I roughed it with the old, trusty hand mixer. The only difficult part of this decision was the first step of mixing the butter and sugar.
When it came time to add the milk, I found I needed to add a bit more than the instructed 3-4 tbsp.
My candy dipping technique could use a little work, but they came out pretty sweet! (no pun intended.)
I had leftover candy melts so I added some pizazz to some store-bought cookies. This will be a nice treat for my Mommom who lives with us (and LOVES sweets) :-)
All in all, the truffles turned out pretty good. I believe the word my brother described them as was "bangin'!" Next time I'm going to try them with a bit less flour.
